The 3rd stage is very similar to the 2nd one and it just makes sure that the previous two did their job right. You’ll be safe and sound. It’s also meant to remove very fine particles and compounds that are possibly left because of their small size. 

What numbers are we looking at?

These can be deal breakers easily. If you have to switch out the filter too often, that isn’t too budget-friendly, right? This cartridge is said to work for about 8 months, but you always have to check the number of gallons.

You’re expecting about 5670 liters or 1500 gallons, which is surely a fantastic number. This means that using 5L daily could last you three full years! However, if you’re washing the dishes with this water and using it for boiling, you may be looking at a much smaller number. The manufacturer claims 8 months of heavy usage is provided.

What about my minerals?

Hard water can be a pain and therefore APEC WFS-1000 removes excess minerals. We are also happy to inform you that it does not remove your needed minerals and that you surely have your calcium, magnesium, and iron in the right amounts.

This also brings us to another good thing: the water’s pH will stay the same! Doctors also advise that you don’t change the pH of the water you’re drinking to remain safe and control the levels in your blood.

What is the APEC WFS-1000 installation like?

Many people don’t want to call a plumber to install their filter and that’s completely fine by us. APEC WFS-1000 set is pretty DIY oriented and you’ll be connecting some plumbing, putting some screws up and using a bit of Teflon tape.

If you have done a bit of work with plumbing before, an hour is enough. If you’re a newbie, two hours may be required. Anyway, you get all of the parts needed along with the manual, so you surely won’t get lost.

Also, the tubing is FDA certified, which means that it’s completely safe and your water won’t be harmed after the filtering process, while it’s getting to the faucet. You are getting the faucet, but it’s pretty plain and won’t fit an urban kitchen at all.

Replacement filter

Once your water filter won’t be working as good anymore, it’s time to get your Apec WFS-1000 replacement filters. Thankfully, there are pretty budget-friendly and the installation is very easy as well.

Make sure to turn off the water supply system in your home; you don’t want your home to become a lake! You’ll open the dispenser of the product, remove the previous filters, clean the dispenser with some very mild soap and screw the new ones in.

You’ll have to check if anything is leaking, but we’re sure that you’ll be good to go very soon! This whole thing takes about 20 minutes and is surely easy to do as well!

The APEC WFS-1000 system is a great choice both for beginners and those who already know what they want. It’s a budget-friendly filter that gets rid of most organic and inorganic compounds, preserves your water’s pH and helps you with the smell and the taste of it.

It lasts a pretty long time and isn’t hard to install. The only issues you may have are those with the size of it and possibly the customization you will have to do to fit a new faucet into your kitchen.
