No more chlorine
This system is perfect for chlorine removal as it is about 99% efficient. When you get chlorine-free water, you can forget about the bleach-like taste and smell, as well as the weird aftertaste.
What else does it remove?

Filtering system
So, what’s the actual system in the filter like? There are three stages to the process, and the first one is the polypropylene sediment filter that removes all of the big particles like sand, rust, and dust. After that, the water goes down to the carbon block filter that’s made of coconut shell carbon. This is where the next two stages happen.
It’s the same process, but it is repeated twice for maximum efficiency.
The coconut shell carbon is eco-friendly and you’ll notice that it’s certified by NSF/ANKI because of the efficiency it has.
What about the numbers?
The amount of water that can be filtered through this machine before you need to get a replacement is 100 000 gallons and the timeframe that you’re looking at heavily depends on the way you use the filter. If you use 2 gallons daily, you’re getting 50 000 days of use. If you’re drinking 100 gallons daily, you’re getting 1000 days of use.
Keep the healthy minerals in
This filter won’t strip away all of the important minerals like Magnesium, Iron and Calcium, so you don’t need to worry about getting too little of these into your system. Usually, all reverse osmosis systems do this, but this one has been adapted!
The system doesn’t work as a water softener, though, so keep that in mind if that’s the reason why you’re buying a home filtering system.
Maintenance
Every now and then you should clean the system, but don’t forget to shut off the water valve and then give the outer portion a clean. Don’t remove the cartridges because there is probably water inside and you’re going to create a mess. You can’t clean the filter part anyway.
After that, you re-open the valve and you’re good to go.
